We all forget things, here are some of the most common places your things could be hiding

With all the hubbub of moving and packing it's easy to lose items of forget to check a spot you once tucked away something that could later be important. Not only don't you want to forget your personal items, based on the standard offer to purchase and contract sellers are required to remove all personal property. In a tense situation, the last thing you would want is to give the buyer an out at the last minute. Here is out list of the most common places for sellers to forget personal items in the house when they are moving.
Broiler Drawer
- Under the Oven
Cabinets above Fridge
- Those little square one's that most people place china or oversized serving dishes in.
Inside over/Micro
- Is something hiding inside the built-in microwave or the cabinets above it?
Dishwasher
- We've seen it a million times, the last few dishes to wash before packing them away are easily forgotten.
Shed
- Movers will not take paint, gas, or oil so it's best to plan ahead and properly dispose. The buyer's won't want it either.
Crawl Space
- It's easy to tuck gardening equipment and potting soils just inside the doorway of the crawlspace.
Attic
- You never know what's in the attic, whether it's treasures that need a slot on Antiques Roadshow or ancient Christmas decor be sure to clean out any personal items before closing.
Built-in Cabinets
- If you have built-in cabinets around an entertainment center or in the living room they are often designed to tuck miscellaneous items out of sight to keep a home looking neat and tidy. Double check those nooks and crannies that may be hiding that one electric charger you'll need in three months after moving.
Under Stair Closets
- While I've always been more of a LOTR fan, don't leave Harry Potter under the stairs. If your stairway has a landing and then turns for the rest of the flight double check around the corner for storage under the bottom stairs too!
Closet Corners
- Often items get tucked around the corner of the doorway and are easy to miss.
